Mini Facelift

Drooping or sagging of the face is due to several factors. Loosening of the
facial muscles, loss of facial fat and loosening of the facial skin. The goal of
a face lift is to lift the facial muscles and remove the excessive, stretched
out skin. A good face lift should not change the shape of the eye, mouth or give
a stretched out look to the face ( Face in the wind appearance ). Incisions are
placed in the natural folds of the ear area and behind the ear so that after the
healing period, incision lines are not noticeable.

Dr. Hormozi performs the Mini Face lift under pure local anesthesia. The
recovery is fast with minimal discomfort. Sutures are removed after 9 to 10
days. Patients are fully functional 3 to 4 days after surgery and with small
amount of makeup, the can hide the small bruising from the surgery.

Like all cosmetic surgeries mini facelift does not stop time but rather push
back the clock. It gives a younger look to the face. Nevertheless with time, the
skin and muscles of the face will sag again but patient will always look better
that if he or she had not had the face lift in the first place. If desired, the
facelift can be repeated again later in life.

Mini facelift can be performed at the same time as upper and/or lower lid
surgery , still under pure local anesthesia.

Sometimes, if desired, a dermal filler like Juvedrem can be used to additionally
enhance the effect of the face lift.

Mini Facelifts are performed under local anesthesia in our private outpatient
surgery center setting.
