Darab Hormozi, MD, FACS performs eyelid surgery for the residents of Silver Spring, MD.

What Is Eyelid Surgery?

Few people think about their eyelids until they start the aging process. Your body slows down its production of collagen, which results in skin looking saggy. Many men and women have problems with their eyelids drooping because the skin doesn’t have enough collagen. With eyelid surgery, you can make your skin look younger and make your eyes look wider.

How Is Eyelid Surgery Performed?

Like most surgeries, an eyelid surgery starts with one incision. Dr. Hormozi pulls back the skin on the upper or lower eyelid, checks that both sides are even and closes the incision with stitches. Before applying the stitches, he removes any fatty deposits and smooths the skin. When you wake, you’ll notice that your eyes immediately appear brighter and healthier and that you can see clearly without your droopy eyelids in the way.
