What Is Eyelid Surgery?

Your eyelids naturally protect your eyes, blocking out dust and debris that can irritate the pupils. If you have saggy eyelids, you might notice that you can’t see clearly. The skin droops down below your eyes, making it hard to see objects right in front of you. Dr. Hormozi performs upper and lower eyelid surgeries on residents of Ellicott City, MD, as well as surgeries on those dealing with partial creases and hooded eyes.

How Is Eyelid Surgery Performed?

Before Dr. Hormozi performs an eyelid surgery, he examines your eyes and determines the best place to cut. Using a scalpel, he makes a tiny cut near the eye and uses that cut to pull the eyelid up or down. Once your skin is flat and taut, he’ll sew the area closed. An eyelid surgery can improve your vision and your overall appearance.
