Have you ever noticed that your eyelids are drooping a little more than usual? Eyelid surgery is a solution. Darab Hormozi, MD, FACS performs eyelid surgery for the residents of Edgewood, MD.

What Is Eyelid Surgery?

Eyelid surgery is a procedure that reduces excess skin from the upper eyelids. It is typically done for cosmetic reasons although it can also be done if sagging eyelids impede your vision, and both men and women elect to have the procedure. Eyelid surgery does not get rid of dark circles or other types of wrinkles on the face.

How Is Eyelid Surgery Performed?

An incision is made along the natural crease of the eyelid. Excess fatty tissue is removed, and the skin is pulled tight. Sutures are typically used to keep the incision closed.
