Darab Hormozi, MD, FACS performs facelifts for residents of Ellicott City, MD and surrounding areas.

What Is a Facelift?

A facelift is a type of plastic surgery procedure that smooths out the face so that the individual can look younger. There are four different types of facelifts that doctors perform today. These are the mid facelift, the mini facelift, the modified S-lift, and the fat/stem cell facelift. When these procedures are done, the facial skin is left smoother as wrinkles and fine lines are tackled and the face made tighter.

How Is a Facelift Performed?

A facelift is performed with the patient put under local anesthesia. Dr. Hormozi makes small incisions near the ears, where scars will be virtually invisible. Next, he will move around the tissue therein and eliminate excess skin in the face so that the result is fewer fine lines and wrinkles and smoother facial skin overall. Generally, facelift procedures take around two hours to complete.
