Darab Hormozi, MD, FACS performs facelifts for residents of the Arlington, VA, area and surrounding areas.

What Is a Facelift?

A facelift is a common cosmetic procedure that involves lifting and tightening of the face so that the individual can enjoy a more youthful and attractive appearance. It can be done through a variety of procedures such as mid facelift, mini facelift, modified S-lift, and fat/stem cell facelift.

How Is a Facelift Performed?

A facelift is performed under local anesthesia. The doctor makes incisions in specific locations on the face so that scars will not be noticeable and repositions the fat and muscles within the face. Once that is done, the skin is tightened and sutured so that the skin is considerably smoother and wrinkles less noticeable. Patients will notice some discomfort and swelling in their face afterward, and recovery time is generally up to two weeks.
