Botox, Dysport and Xeomin in Maryland

Botox Cosmetic, Dysport and Xeomin For Wrinkles

Deep wrinkling of the skin, such as crow’s-feet and frown lines, cannot be
effectively removed with lasers. These wrinkles are not surface wrinkles, but
rather they are caused by contracting muscles underneath the skin.

To remove these wrinkle lines, Dr. Hormozi injects different variety of muscle action blocking agents, better known
as Botox, Dysport and Xeomin into the contracting muscles to relax the tension. This produces a
smooth surface result within few days.

Although the effect is temporary, many patients choose to have this procedure
because of its dramatic results. The effect usually wears off within three to six
months, depending on the patient. However, the results are worth getting it over
and over again!

Botox, For Blepharospasm & Facial Spasm

Not only is Botox used for cosmetic reasons, but also to relieve a medical
eyelid or facial spasm problem as well. Some patients develop a condition known
as Blepharospasm or facial spasm. These conditions affect the muscles in the
eyelids or face, which causes the eyelids to contract forcefully or a facial
twitch.

In these cases, Botox can be injected into the eyelids or the facial muscle to
temporarily paralyze the muscles and reduce the excessive blinking or facial
twitch. Normal eyelid function and blinking are not compromised. Again, due to
the temporary nature of these poducts, the injections would have to be repeated
every three to six months, depending on the patient. However, in these cases the
injections would be covered by insurance since they would be required to treat a
medical condition.
